Comfort
- A robe will be provided. Please remove your jewelry before your visit. I also recommend removing your bra or lowering your bra straps before putting on the robe. Other than that, feel free to wear comfortable clothing.
- Please arrive hydrated.
Time
- If it’s feasible, please remove your makeup before your visit. That’ll allow more time for your facial.
- Please complete all required online forms before your visit.
Safety
- Having a cold sore or open lesion on your skin requires rescheduling.
- If you’re experiencing an allergic reaction, flu-like symptoms, or chronic coughing, rescheduling is required.
- Avoid using products with active ingredients (such as acids, Retinol, and Vitamin A) 3-5 days before and after your visit.
- Avoid facial waxing at least 3 days before and after your visit.
- Botox is OK 3 days before or after your visit.
- Collagen fillers are OK 2 weeks before and after your visit (or as instructed by your physician).
- Avoid facial laser hair removal 2 weeks before and after your visit.
- If you’re more than 20 weeks pregnant, a medical release form must be signed by your doctor, stating that it’s OK to lie down on your back for 50-80 minutes.
Post Care
- Drink plenty of water.
- Do your best to avoid sun light.
- Your skin will be fresh and vulnerable, and so it’s best to avoid makeup for at least several hours after your visit.
- Low intensity exercise, such as walking, hiking, and some yoga is OK. Try to avoid weight lifting, cross training, and heavy cardio for 24 hours.
- Be kind to your skin by using gentle products for several days after your visit.
- It’s best to avoid alcohol for 48 hours.
- Nutrition is vital. Avoid foods that cause inflammation, such as processed, greasy, salty, or sugary food. Consume clean, green, antioxidant food that feeds your skin from the inside out.
